    The Office of Elections provides equal opportunity for all qualified citizens of Prince William County to register to vote, maintains accurate voter records, conducts all elections at the highest level of professional standards, ensuring transparency and building public confidence in the integrity of the results. Operates as a communication and information resource for citizens. The major stakeholders of Prince William County; the Electoral Board, Officers of Election,candidates, partnering county agencies and the voting public see the benefit of a transparent electoral process every election.

  • Voter Registration Deadline

    Monday, May 17 is the last day to register to vote for primary elections taking place on June 8, 2021. The Commonwealth will have a Democratic primary election for governor, lieutenant governor and attorney general, as well as several primaries for the House of Delegates representing Prince William County. Democrats in Districts 2, 31 and 50 and Republicans in District 51 will have primary elections.

  • In-Person Early Voting

    For the 45 days prior to all elections, voters eligible to vote early may do so by visiting one of our Early Voting locations. Before you come in, we advise you to check your registration status online or call us if you have any questions about your registration or your eligibility. At the Registrar’s Office or other Early Voting Location, you must show an acceptable form of ID.

  • Voting on Election Day

    Virginia law requires all voters to provide an acceptable form of identification at the polls. The ID no longer must have a photograph. Voters arriving to the polls without a suitable ID will be required to either sign an ID Confirmation Statement or vote a provisional ballot.
